Fashion disputes of Madonna and child She was known for her risque sense of style and outrageous antics at the start of her career, but motherhood has mellowed Madonna out - at least in the area of fashion, it seems.



The material girl recently confessed that when it comes to style sense, she often wishes her ten-year-old daughter Lourdes had slightly more conservative taste.

According to the 48-year-old singer, Lourdes has a penchant at the moment for wearing jeans that she feels are sometimes a little too low-cut.

She told Elle magazine: "My daughter is going through the phase of wearing jeans so tight she can't bend her knees in them," Bang Showbiz reports.

"I have a go at her and say, 'Can't you wear something else? And can you please wear a belt because I don't want to see your butt crack when you bend over'."

However, mother and daughter do share the same fashion taste when it comes to one item of clothing - Madonna's wedding dress, which Lourdes has apparently asked her mother to save for her when she is older.

The singer's status as a top trendsetter was confirmed recently when she was voted the world's greatest fashion icon at this year's Elle Style Awards in London.
